At 5 PM on March 25, 1805 (old style), with weak sunlight and many colors except red in the the sky, with a moderate East wind, people saw a large dark cloud coming from the South through the Doroninsk grave yard. It was accompanied by a loud noise or a sound like a thunderstorm. The noise of the cloud grew stronger as it descended, and shepherds watching their flocks in the fields grew frightened. They noted the fall of the cloud and saw a burning stone falling from the cloud. After its first fall it bounced up and then fell nearby. Half an hour later, people decided to visit the place and found the stone. It was too hot to hold in the hand.
