The fall was at 11:45 AM, the sky was clear and weather was warm. The fall was seen from Vladivostrok to the Han Dao He Tse rail station (475 versts) and accompanied by light and sound phenomena.

The fall occurred 200 cubits south of a Korean village (fan-za), and location of the fall was shown by a resident of this fan-za, Ma Tomu Ni. The first fragment fell near a Cossack who happened to be riding nearby, Ivan Ovchinnikov.

…The meteorite Boguslavka was the first observed fall of an iron meteorite in the Russian Empire. Based on its main mass it was a huge fall in comparison with others, and has a beautiful external structure and fantastic shape. ...
